Taste of Tennis

Each year, the Maple Leaf Tennis Club offers "Taste of Tennis" to introduce the game to new players, rusty players, or the merely curious.

Racquets and balls are provided for the first session.

In the first one-day event, you will learn the rules and basics of play: serving, forehand, backhand, ground strokes and valleys.

A series of six weekly lessons will follow for those interested. The only obligation for these lessons is to join the Tennis Club ($50 for the year).

The program has been run by Nancy & Keith McGruer.  Over nearly 20 years, more than 400 people have participated, many of whom are now playing on Maple Leaf Tennis Club's competitive teams.

For more information from mid-October to the end of March, call Nancy or Keith at 941-883-7260.
