Tennis Facilities Maple Leaf Golf & Country Club and the Maple Leaf Tennis Club work together to provide superior facilities available to all residents and guests. We have five cushioned hard-court tennis courts (resurfaced in Spring of 2024) with shaded viewing stands; details below. Tennis Club members can book courts via CourtReserve and join club activities and programs . Maple Leaf GCC residents and guests may use the courts when not otherwise booked. See schedules for information on viewing schedules and (for Tennis Club members) booking court time and for off-season court use. Charlotte Courts There are three courts at the Charlotte Center, one of which is independently enclosed. All three courts have water coolers and there are shaded stands. Restrooms are near by. There is LED lighting for early morning and evening play. A ball machine is available to tennis-club members. See bookings schedule on Court Reserve (November - April). CanAm Courts There are two courts at the CanAm Center. The courts have a water cooler and there are shaded stands. Restrooms are near by. There is LED lighting for early morning and evening play. Ladies Championship Doubles Schedule Team Standings Times and Location Thursday Afternoon 3 - 5, Charlotte Courts. The Championship League will start January 22, 2026 and run until March 19, 2026 Set up Teams must play together all session. Top "A" players must choose a player below their level of skill. Players below the 3.5+ team may choose partners of equal ability. The League will be set up in two flights and teams will play a round robin competition within their own flights, with finals at the end. Flights and revision of rules will be decided by a panel of two. Rules All players must be members of the Maple Leaf Tennis club. There will be no penalty for using a spare if one team member is unable to play. Try and find a spare at a similar playing level. Players are to supply their own balls. Be Prepared Should a team want to re-schedule a game they must...make arrangements with the other team. If a team doesn’t show they forfeit, thereby receiving 0 points and the team that shows gets 11 points. Games will be 1 hour or first team to score 11 points. A 5 minute warm up is included in that 1 hour. If a game is incomplete at the 1 hour time limit it doesn’t count. Only completed games count. Scoring: Total games added. Each team is responsible for marking the number of games won on the schedule at the Charlotte board. Club Philosophy The Maple Leaf Tennis Club believes that tennis provides an excellent opportunity for residents of Maple Leaf to engage in a healthy and enjoyable sports activity. Players of all ages and skills are encouraged to participate, learn and, if they choose, compete in a friendly environment. The Tennis Club offers residents opportunities to make new friends through court play and a wonderful social program. A variety of programs are offered and scheduled for different skill levels: Ladies and Men's Intermediate and Advanced play, Super 70’s, Men & Women Mixed Ladders and Tournaments on specified weekends. Sprinkle in social gatherings like the Opening Wine & Cheese, Potluck, Maple Leaf Cup, and Fun Day just to name a few of our Social Events. We offer Taste of Tennis for those wishing to learn the game and for more advanced players we field teams in both the Men's Peace River League and the Ladies 50+ Tennis League. Volunteer leadership and active participation are the backbone of the Club. We are ably and enthusiastically supported by the Board and Staff of Maple Leaf Golf And Country Club.

Charlotte County 50+ Tennis League for Women Heading 2 About It is the objective of the Maple Leaf Tennis Club to field competitive teams in the Charlotte County 50+ Tennis League , ensuring that players are at a level where some degree of success is achieved while being challenged to improve. The social aspect of league tennis and the development of team friends are truly important, however, the Club’s objective to be competitive takes precedence. Players should be willing to cooperate with their peers by playing at a level where their current skills and agility will be best utilized.
