  • Xmas Social/Triples Registration

    Thursday, December 25, 2025 Charlotte Centre 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM Hosted by the 3.5A A Team and the B5 Alley Gators Your membership fee includes this fun event of breakfast nibbles, festive drinks, mixed triples, and camaraderie. Triples sign-up : there will be sign-up sheets for the triples tournament outside Charlotte Court 1 during the social. Please Register as soon as you can on CourtReserve to help your hosting teams do their planning more effectively. Registration will close on Friday, December 19th . Your guests are very welcome to attend the party for $10 each, payable at the door. Children under 12 are our Maple Leaf Tennis Club guests for free (no RSVP needed).

  • New ball machine approved & purchased

    The purchase of a new ball machine was approved by the club membership at a special general meeting today . The Playmate Ace is a well regarded commercial-grade machine, and was recommended by our tennis pro, Tony Geraci, Rich Vernsey of Wrigley's Tennis, and other local clubs. You will need to attend a training session before using the ball machine. There will be seven training sessions in December, starting on December 11th. Sign-up sheets are posted on the bulletin board at the Charlotte Courts. Additional Ace Ball Machine training sessions will be organized in the new year. Come January 2026, there will be weekly ball-machine sessions (using, not learning how to use) for novice and beginner players from 3:30 - 4:30.

  • Men's Triples Jan. 10

    The Men's Triples Tournament will be held on January 10th at the Charlotte Courts, from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm. Register as an individual on CourtReserve - you will be assinged to a team.

  • Call for special general meeting

    Ball-machine replacement - summary Our Tennis Tower Ball Machine requires replacement. There is significant demand for its use, but the current machine has become unreliable and difficult to repair. The Tennis Club Executive has concluded that a higher quality replacement is necessary and is proposing the purchase of a commercial-grade base-level Playmate machine ($5,523 including tax). Under our Bylaws, any purchase in excess of $2,000 must be approved by the membership. Playing members can vote by proxy before the meeting or vote at the meeting after a presentation and questions. Proxy votes will be included for purposes of determining a quorum.   • Decorating the CanAm Center

    The Tennic Club volunteers to decorate the CanAm Center for Christmas each year. This year, it was the turn of the women's 3.5B Double Trouble team and men's B4 Red Menace team to put up Christmas decorations on the inside and outside of the CanAm Center, respectively. Thanks to the Double Trouble ladies for also providing snacks and drinks! See photos here .

  • Men's Ladder Schedule Posted

    The schedule for the Fall 2025 men's doubles ladder is now available.

  • Wed. AM mixed round robin

    The proper schedule for mixed-doubles round-robin open play for Wednesday morning has been restored starting December 3rd: Wednesday from 7:30 am - 9:00 am on Charlotte Courts 1, 2 and 3. The round-robin open-play sessions are for tennis-club members, as well as their occasional guests. Player's rotate after each game: one comes out and one comes in, Just show up, put your racket in the line, and have fun. The full mixed-doubles round-robin open play schedule is: Monday: 7:00 am - 9:00 am, CanAm courts 4 and 5 Wednesday: 7:30 am - 9:00 am, Charlotte courts 1, 2, and 3 Friday: 7:30 am - 9:00 am, CanAm courts 4 and 5 Sunday Social tennis 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm Charlotte courts 1, 2, and 3
